Richard Hu (a.k.a. Forged Reigns, b. 2002) is a Canadian-born Chinese pianist, composer, producer, and DJ based in Toronto, Canada. His music has a focus on the trance and hard dance genres, taking heavy inspiration from rhythm game music and the Japanese doujinshi music scene at large.

Richard made his rhythm game debut with his track Demonkin featured in Phigros in 2022 and has since been an active member of the Chinese doujin music community. Appearances include compilations from Silent Xords, Kreuzwave, 卉HUI-Works, and DON'T LΣT STU. His solo releases include his debut album titled A Different Kind of Evil, released in April 2023, and his 2nd album titled HIGH HORSEPOWER, published by Kreuzwave in October 2024.

Richard completed his Bachelor of Music at Queen's University in Kingston in summer 2025. His mentors include Dina Namer for classical piano and chamber instruction, Dr. Matt Rogalsky and Dr. Christopher Mayo for electroacoustic and electronic composition, Dr. John Burge for acoustic composition, and Gregory Runions for jazz ensemble instruction.

At present, Richard is currently a student at the University of Toronto under the MMus in Music Technology & Digital Media program.
